I was very excited to attend this event, as I have always been a fan. Dance With The Dead stayed pretty much on the floor and ventured into the higher level seats only once during the show, which surprised me. People waving and shouting out were distracting, trying to get Dance With The Dead's attention. I had anticipated that she would go up into the balcony areas more, but there were so many distractions. A lady in the section next to us was called out to the lobby by a security guard. The large screens seemed to distract from the experience as well. Even though I had expectations of a positive experience, the exact opposite was true. Dance With The Dead spent a lot of time with one gentleman in front of us who had the most depressing story that I have ever heard, and he went on and on. There was just a real negative vibe about the whole thing for me. I wish that she could have politely cut him off and moved on to others who were anxious to hear from loved ones. I saw people leaving early and I was tempted to do the same due to the oppressive feeling in the room. Dance With The Dead was very sweet to the children in the audience, which I liked, and the National Anthem at the start of the show was a positive moment. The ending of the show came so abruptly that I was surprised when it was over. Other than one positive reading that touched me, I regret going and regret spending so much money. Honestly, I will have a hard time watching her show now. It's just a lesson learned, no hard feelings or judgment calls.
